What makes the best Formula 1 drivers win? /u/Jazzlike-Horror4 No such thing as stupid questions

Formula 1, F1, where people drive really fast in really expensive cars. It’s a big thing, and I have a lot of friends who are very interested in it. I’m not, really.

When they talk about who’s good and who’s bad, and who will win this and that race, I always wonder how much the driver really matters in such a race, compared to a good car. I know that the best driver won’t be able to win any race in a regular car, but would I, as a regular driver, be able to win if I had the best of the best car (and was told how to use it)? Or would I finish last for some reason I can’t understand?

Basically, how much is the driver, how much is the car, and how much is the wheel changing people?

Is it strange to wrap empty boxes to put under your tree for decoration? /u/EnvironmentalAngle No such thing as stupid questions

Hi. I’m a single dude with no kids. That being said I still decorate and put up a tree for the holiday. However one thing that irks me about my set up is there are no presents under the tree.

I have no reason to put any there as no one is going to be opening gifts at my house. Don’t think that’s sad, I’ll be opening plenty of gifts today its just we all go to my uncle’s house for Christmas and there’s no reason to open gifts at my house.

The reason I don’t put them there is because of social anxiety. I feel like my friends are going to chirp me when they come over and see empty boxes.

But malls do it right? Am I just being anal retentive and there’s nothing weird about wrapping empty boxes as decoration or am I justified in my reservations?
