Why do people on reddit normalize things that are considered super weird in the real world? /u/BigPepeNumberOne No such thing as stupid questions

Like, I just read a post about some guy saying he hasn’t been with a woman in 50 years, and the comments are all like, “Oh, that’s totally fine, live your life!” Bruh, in the real world, people would be like, “Mate, what’s going on?” Don’t get me wrong, I’m not tryna shame anyone, but sometimes it feels like Reddit exists in a completely different universe where stuff that’s lowkey bizarre is treated like it’s normal AF.

Anyone else notice this? Or is it just me? Why is it like this here?

What’s the appeal of alcohol? /u/morningdews123 No such thing as stupid questions

What’s the appeal of alcohol? /u/morningdews123 No such thing as stupid questions

I have never tried alcohol and probably will never do so because I have an addictive personality so I’m worried about getting addicted to it.

But it’s so interesting to see just how many people drink and enjoy it a lot.

Forgive me if I sound uncultured, why would anyone intentionally impair their senses by consuming alcohol?

What exactly is the point / fun / appeal of drinking?

Anyone else just kinda content to just…exist? /u/DeinzoDragon No such thing as stupid questions

I don’t really have any major ambitions, to be honest. I’m sometimes asked what I wanna do, and I usually tell them something to do with dogs or IT, but…Really? I just want anything that my bosses/coworkers treat me decently and pays enough to meet my needs. Some people seem so obsessed with making a bunch of money, or getting a promotion…I can’t really say I get it. I’d rather have time to spend with my dog, or cook a nice meal. Seems to me like people have just gotten too obsessed with things that don’t really matter. Idk if that makes any sense. If ya ask me, it’s best to just take things one day at a time.
