I know Butters has been put through a lot, but the worst thing to happen to him is in “Safe Space” He has to sift through Cartman’s (and celebrities) negative comments, otherwise he’ll get detention, which means he’ll get grounded. This pushes him further to the brink. The final nail in the coffin is when Reality comes in his room screaming that he’s going to kill him. This causes him to run through the halls naked screaming “the man” is going to get him. When Kyle tells him to just take the detention, Butters jumps out the second-story window, blood splattering on the floor. Fortunately, he’s still alive, though he wears a neck brace for the rest of the season.
