Poll: Should r/Skyrim have Post Flairs? /u/CatPotatey The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Hello, Dovahkiins!

For years many subreddits have used post flairs. We’ve never used them here, but the moderation team believes that it’s finally time to consider adding them. We believe it has potential, but we want your input before making a final decision on how to implement them best.

What are post flairs? Post flairs are a way for subreddits to sort posts into categories. When a user makes a post, they are asked to select the flair that most accurately describes their post. Adding post flairs to the subreddit will allow you to sort the subreddit by post flair, making it easier to find the posts you are most interested in. The available flairs to choose between are determined by subreddit moderators. Here are our current ideas:

-Discussion

-Question

-Lore

-Mod Help

-Bug Help

-Arts/Crafts (This includes tattoos)

If you have ideas for additional post flairs, please let us know in the comments.

How do YOU want post flairs to work on r/Skyrim?

Before we add post flairs we need to decide how we want to implement the system. We have decided to make a vote to hear your opinion on it. There are three ways we can go about it:

Mandatory post flairs: A user must select a post flair before they can publish a post. This will make it easier for users to find posts they’re looking for, but a possible downside is that it might not be possible to always select a flair that accurately describes a post.

Optional post flairs: It is up to the user to decide whether to add a flair to their post. This gives more freedom to the poster but will limit other users’ ability to find the post when sorting by flairs.

No post flairs: Choose this option if you DON’T want post flairs to be added to the subreddit.

Please vote for one of the above. The vote will be open for one week. Be aware that the vote is only to give us a sense of direction, though! The most voted solution might not be the one we implement, but rest assured that we will take it into consideration.

Meanwhile, free to share your ideas, thoughts, questions, or concerns in the comments. We will make sure to actively monitor and comment too.
