Windowed Mode Settings Not Saving /u/cobimaestro Steam on Reddit

I play all of my games in windowed mode because I have the Odyssey Ark and I don’t need the game to be that crazy big. Anyway, I don’t know if this directly a steam related issue, but I notice it in all my steam games.

For all my games I set windowed mode settings to about 2560×1440 or custom to around that size. Whenver I close out of a game and reopen, it saves the fact I want it to open it in windowed mode, but always defaults to the lowest resolution available leaving me to have to make the change every time I open a game. Any idea what would be the cause of this? I checked the config files for some of my games and in the GameUserSettings it clearly shows that I last had it opened in a different resolution but never opens back up like that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Low fps in only steam games

Hey recently Everytime I load up any game off of steam it’s stuck at 50-60 fps no matter the game and any games outside of steam would run perfectly fine as their supposed too. Does anyone know a fix to this?

How many games you have in your library that you have never played (and probably never will) /u/mistermaximan Steam on Reddit

Happends to me all the time. I get excited, buy it but then I just keep playing my old classics. For example 3-4 years ago I bought Civilisation VI and I though installing it after I finish Civilisation V with the highest difficulty. Which was pretty close already.

Well, that day never came (and probably never will cos the huns or russia always seems to run over me all day everyday) and it’s been just sitting in my library 🫠 same same story with tens of other games. How about you guys?

Steam is dropping support for Macos 10.15.

On February 15th, 2025, Steam will officially stop supporting macOS version 10.15 (“Catalina”). After that date, the Steam Client will no longer run on this version of macOS. In order to continue running Steam and any games or other products purchased through Steam, users will need to update to a more recent version of macOS.

This change is required as core features in Steam rely on an embedded version of Google Chrome, which no longer functions on older versions of macOS. In addition, future versions of Steam will require macOS feature and security updates only present in macOS 11 and above.
