So i want to hunt a legendary wolf and i am not sure what to use between fire,explosive or poison arrows. I know that poison arrows are very good and i can hunt every animal i want but does the fire or explosive arrows destroy the pelt of a legendary animal cuz i want to sell the pelt in a perfect condition?

How the hell do you hunt small prey consistently? /u/BruceIrvin Red Dead Redemption

Okay so just to be clear: i have platinumed all Souls game. I have determination to do difficult things in video games. I have never been more frustrated with a video game then with catching a freaking rabbit in this game.

How do you consistently catch small prey like a rabbit? These are my problems:

  1. Even though rabbits are everywhere in this game during missions, they’re pretty rare when looking for them. In general i find one every 20 min of gameplay, which is a lot of time to just be wandering about (yes, i search in areas where they’re apparently in abundance).
  2. I cannot reach them by just sneaking up to them (with cancelling out my scent etc.). So that leaves me with only one choice.
  3. Chase them on a horse. Rabbits are so damn fast I need a horse that moves like shit to run the same speed as them. Whenever I’m ready to shoot I go into deadeye for the incredibly small window to get a headshot on 2 megapixels of rabbit, but at this moment the rabbit makes a u-turn. My horse changes direction as fast as demented grandpa on acid, and I don’t get my shot off and my deadeye runs out after 2-3 times of failure.
  4. I still need to get lucky in actually chasing a 3 star rabbit, because sometimes I see them in groups of 3, but have zero time to react as they go speedy gonzalez on my ass.

Seriously, is there a consistent way of killing them for a 3star pelt? I have never been more frustrated in my life. I have to admit, even though I play and finish a lot of hard games, my aim and reaction speed is not the greatest. I simply don’t have that (yes, I’m old). What the hell do I do to get easy kills on these bastards?

Help is very much appreciated.

Accidentally got my horse stuck up there and had to load a save to get him back. Is there anyway to get up? I’ve seen a grizzly bear spawn up there and almost made the jump once (which ended with me sliding down and my horse stuck). I think it may be impossible because the way I slid down seemed unnatural. Also no trail to get up east or west.
