I know this might be a stupid question but… /u/Feisty-Job-1227 Monster Hunter: World

Should I use safijiiva or FFB ice weapons to fight alatreon. If it matter, I use chargeblade as well. The FFB CB have impact phials which do 10% damage to the ala skill check. My safi CB has power element, which I’m assuming does 100% or more.

While I’m here, which fire element weapon should I get? Safijiiva or a specific monster like rathalos?

Am I ruining my own experience? /u/memeking_7 Monster Hunter: World

My issue comes with the armor, i like how this armor set looks despite i know is absolutely terrible. I recently defeated nergigante. This monster has an attack in which he flies into the air and dives like a hawk, now, even with this armor maxed out it still 1-hit-KOed me.

Now, i will have more challenging hunts and its clear this armor set has too weak stats defensively. Will i ruin my gaming experience if i continue with this armor? Its true that i enjoy that i find it challenging and i also like how it looks, but i dont know if this lead to too many frustrations. Experienced hunters, what do you think?

I also have a few more questions:

Why everyone says instigator is so good? Is there a method to anger the monsters i dont know about?

I dont fully grasp layered armor, there are only a few set i can layer my armor (ive seen in the shop a flower and christmas themed ones) or can i make this one layered?

r/MonsterHunterWorld I am new to this franchise. I am a casual player that plays story missions alone (with palico) and then I farm on multiplayer. I like to take my time and im not rushing the story (i am really enjoying it) My issue comes with the armor, i like how this armor set looks despite i know is absolutely terrible. Completely stuck at Alatreon! /u/PeppermintButler17 Monster Hunter: World

Like completely, I can consistently get beyond second and even third escaton, but the little skull symbol hast even shown up once. I think my Build is pretty good, not perfect but good. And yeah I am aggressive, I can’t really be more aggressive. It’s really frustrating. Not really looking for advice, just kinda a little rant honestly.

New weapon testing /u/Indublibable Monster Hunter: World

After (Finally) beating nergigante, I felt it was time to switch up my weapon, I’d been maining the IG for a majority of my playthrough. The IG was like love at first sight big pogo stick good for stabbing, slicing, and poking, I also didn’t find out till much later the uses of the kinsect, which made it so much better. I decided to switch to longsword and that was a massive difference as it didn’t have the mobility I was looking for and seemed to focus more on timing and being in the right place at the right time. Since I’m a “headfirst” kinda guy I upgraded my sword and went to fight the deviljho, BIG FUCKING MISTAKE, being in the air kinda removes some of the challenge of being absolutely crushed by 90% of the deviljho moves, had to rely heavily on YouTube demonstrations and tips videos to even do a little damage to it.

Anyway I have to ask how people usually go about testing and getting good at a new weapon, I feel like I’m kinda hitting a wall here.
