Multiplayer Etiquette question /u/imafisherman4 Monster Hunter: World

What’s the etiquette for a MR500 player joining an SOS for Assignments? I don’t play much anymore but hop on every now and then and typically just join SOS Assignments to help out whoever is running through the MR story. I recognize my character is significantly more tuned than a MR13 player would be. Should I tune down my builds or just go gung-ho and kill the monster asap? Is it nice for the MR13 player to be carried or should I play slower for the experience?
