How come so many safi fails? /u/gorjusgeorgus Monster Hunter: World

I have spent a lot of today farming safi but I’ve not killed it once. Plagued by lots of player carts or times up’s. Used to be really easy to get a kill. What gives?

Dear MHW Veterans, I request once again your wisdom on the ICEBORNE DLC /u/HolBlackHole Monster Hunter: World

After reaching the 100+ hours played, dabbling in MHW’S base game for quite a bit, and learning how to use dual blades, lightbowgun, heavy bowgun, and now maining the Hunting Horn, I started playing Iceborne, and I have questions.

I’ll try to be as straightforward as possible.

What is the opinion on Barioth’s encounter design? I just fought it yesterday and I felt so much frustration fighting it, I had to know what others think. It moves so much and it’s so aggressive, most of the difficulty of the fight is either finding the patience only to hit it once while breakdancing all across the arena, or trying to run a marathon to try to land a hit when he slides all across the arena attacking.
How do you recommend progressing through Iceborne? Same as a base game? Focusing on getting more defenses as new armor gets unlocked? Some of these monsters have HANDS and hit HARD as hell!!! I’m only on MR3 quests atm because I’ve been doing a lot of optional quests, but the Barioth armor seems to have significantly a lot more defense than the armor I have currently (A combination of MR’S Kulu-yaku with Beatodus)
1. Any general advice you’d give to an Iceborne newbie?

Some map and monster models are misaligned for me /u/ArthurTheTerrible Monster Hunter: World

does anyone know how to fix this? i’ve tried tweaking with the grafics options, didn’t seem to do anything, i’ve enabled Direct X12, also didn’t do anything, i uninsstaled and reinstaled the game and it did nothing.

this problem extends further than just this part of the map, it’s visible in the bone railings of astera being paper thin in some parts and on Safi’jiiva its breakable parts have similar gaps on them alongside his right eye being completely inside its head.

Killed nergigante but dont feel like im getting better at the game /u/JohhnySins69_420 Monster Hunter: World

I played on ps4 with kinsect blade, after buying a pc and getting the game there i restarted and decided to switch weapons, i went with switch axe and while i felt like i was becoming better with kinsect, i feel very inconsistent with swax. Any advice?

What is the defacto best way to MR farm? /u/Sillieranimal2 Monster Hunter: World

I’m at 125 MR and I need to get to 200 for the last cheevo for World. I was told colorful carnival was the best way but I’m not 100% it is.

Very new player. Can i “unga bunga” my way through this game? /u/birbscape90 Monster Hunter: World

Have played a few hours today and I’m liking it! It’s pretty and fun.

However, I’m not a smart woman – i can’t even figure out where my inventory is (help me plz), idunno what all the stuff is that I’m picking up, my eyesight isn’t amazing so the map icons all look the same, and the menus confuse me. Tldr – I’m kinda dumb.

I enjoy “run around and hit monster” can i play this game like that? Or do i need to be able to understand menus and mechanics that are beyond me?
