Was yesterday just a really bad/idle day, or is kulve siege completely dead? /u/Aviarn Monster Hunter: World

Yesterday I unlocked Kulve and my friends are about to as well, but when I tried to find the siege, there was almost nobody there.

30k players playing at that time and there were only TWO filled sessions on Kulve Taroth… but in neither of those there was a siege (I had to start one myself for players to actually join and only in the last hour we had a full lobby).

Now yesterday was new year’s obviously (this was during afternoon Europe time) a very unfit game to game a lot, so did I just pin the worst date or is Kulve just not as big of a deal anymore?

(For clarification, this is the regular / pre-iceborne Kulve).

Insect glaive – how do You stack essences? (Mouse and keyboard) /u/Ok-Candy-7265 Monster Hunter: World

I’m tired of flying monsters, so I’m trying out the glaive.

What is your preffered way of stacking essences? Right now I’m sending the bug out manually through aim mode with “C”, but it can feel like a chore and I’d like to stack up while fighting, akin to dblades and ls. Is there a good way to do so? Like you can send it out with mouse 4, but recalling it mid-fight feels a bit cumbersome.

Recommend me some fun builds /u/Cauliflower_Cock Monster Hunter: World

I’m bored with the end game build and i want to try out something else. Something different.

So recommend me some fun builds! It doesn’t have to be a meta build, but something you like to fuck around with. Maybe something that forces you to learn a new playstyle.

I prefer GS and LS builds but i’m open to everything except range weapons.

Trio Brother Hunters vs Shara

Hi everyone, here’s Titania. I play MH since ps2 and MHworld blew my mind, for pc upgrade reason me and my brothers started later MHW but in these last 2 yrs we’re making so much fun hunts together. I uploaded this video since we’re are all 3 visible, at the center there’s Titania (me), then at her left my lil sis Naomi, at her right my lil bro Icarus. We’re brothers in real life and in MH and I’m the oldest. Here’s our fight against Shara (I submit it as spoiler so if you don’t know him you can skip the video) Trio vs Shara Ishvalda https://youtu.be/lk4x_Z4YG_I?si=AahSvRbMAtJh3EJO describing him with few words would be almost offensive so we can sum him like one of the most majestic dragon ever fought in MH series. I’ll soon post more content on MH, until next time hunters!

Beginner getting into MH /u/lechau91 Monster Hunter: World

Hi everyone,

So I just finished Dragon Dogma 2 from Capcom and really like the concept of fighting big monsters.

I see they also have Monster Hunter as a big successful line of monster hunting game. But I saw so many MH games and DLCs on stream.

Would you please advise on which one I should play first to get into ?

Thank in advance.

20 years I’ve been playing Monster Hunter. I still remember going to my buddies’ grandparents’ place and killing the Rathalos first out of our group with the Plesioth Watersword. Without question MH has been dueling for 1st place for my favorite game series.

World came out, and of course I got it on release, but I was critical and elite about the “good old Monster Hunter” and how casual this game was on release. All the changes, the new menu and hidden features of the forge. The game spoon-feeding some features and removing others. Friends joining saying how hard it was waiting for my “…Well in the old MH games….”

I kept playing and coming back on and off. The Kulve Taroth raid introduction brought back that feeling of doing the Lao Shan Lung siege quest in classic MH. Iceborne came out, and again, I scoffed at the new mechanics and this new system of an expansion/DLC instead of an Ultimate release. I didn’t play Iceborne until Summer 2024. At first I hated that I loved the MH experience coming back. Finally I let go, I progressed to the Guided Lands, I saw the future Capcom was testing for, and I got absolutely dragged by the Brachy and Rajang there. Hours of frustration refusing to do anything other than solo the Alatreon. Getting so blasted by the Fatalis that I eventually gave in and did it in a group. And to this day, have not solo’d it. As a bow main I have my work cut out for me. The first hunt I haven’t been able to solo (played all US releases except Sunbreak).

But I have to say, I wholeheartedly think Iceborne competes with the new player experience of MHFU. At some moments I almost want to call it my favorite MH title. I can’t wait for Wilds, and I have to admit I’m going to miss the height of playing this game.
