Is there an easy way to get one of these or is the only way to get them from quests?

And I have to complete all optional quests to get the quest?

New player here who decided to pick up World (LOVE THIS GAME TO BITS). Struggling with dual blades against High Rank foes. Hope some veterans can help me out /u/Kickback476 Monster Hunter: World

Hello, so I picked up Worlds during the Winter Sale and love it. I have always played assassin builds in RPGs and immediately loved the dual blades and their fluid combat.

But as I’ve moved on to higher rank – Monsters like the Rathian have become exceptionally harder to kill with DB. I tried using the Gun Lance against them and it trivialized the fight (finished it without any faints) but I want to learn how to beat them with DBs as I plan to main them for Wilds.

My Approach

As soon as I approach the Rathian – I pivot to avoid its head and stay near its legs. But sooner or later it charges or moves around violently and I get poisoned. I know it’s very easy to say “Don’t stand near the legs then” but where should I position myself?

Should I continuously use the grapple to attach and detach from the Monster?

If I keep running around dodging so much then I’m not able to put out enough damage.

How do the veteran DB users position themselves with a creature like that? Do you attack the tail by grapple until it breaks? Or some other way?

To prevent redundancy, here is what I follow as a rule while using DBs

  1. Stay in Demon Mode as much as possible

  2. Y + B (Triangle + Circle) attack should only be used while you have an extended period of time. Like when monster gets stunned

  3. I use the B (Circle) as a second dodge in Demon Mode and the Arch Demon Mode to get clear.

I’m trying to make the Escadora armguards a+ but I need 2 direwings and 1 tail. I’ve only killed this monster once before and it was a tough feat. Could anyone help me?

Free Element or Agitator? /u/SuccessfulYak2260 Monster Hunter: World

I recently tried to use HBG and so far I am enjoying. Im already in the post game but have not yet reached Fatalis. Anyway, I have been choosing between the two builds and the differences are as per the title.

Build #1

CE7 Agi5 Wex3 Crit Boost 3 Spread 2 Health Boost 3

Build #2

CE7 Agi4 Wex3 Crit Boost 3 Spread 2 Health Boost 3 Ammo Up 3

Then for the bowgun attachment I have these: recoil suppressor, close range x2, shield x2.

I am using Mightning btw.

Appreciate the inputs!
