Dumbest Challenge I’m giving myself /u/Fighterlighters Monster Hunter: World

So, I’m new into MHW:I, currently at HR 12 and using the Greatsword. But I’m going to challenge myself and get every single weapon type, and variant for every single weapon in the game, I most likely will struggle but will work my way to obtaining all the final versions of each weapon. This probably doesn’t sound as cool as I’m trying to make it, I’m sure over a thousand or more people have done the same thing I’m going to do now but who cares.

Is it possible for me to get to and beat Fatalis before monster hunter wilds releases? /u/SwiftKarmaMarshall Monster Hunter: World

Newer player here <100 hours into world and monsters hunter as a franchise. I love this game and it’s the only thing I’ve played since Christmas. I’ve been going through the game with some help from some of my more experienced friends. I have beat the base game already and I’m currently working through the Iceborn expansion, currently at the fulgur anjanath fight. I’ve been taking a detour to get some better gear but do you think at the pace I’m going that I’ll reach Fatalis before wilds comes out?

I have killed “???” a few days ago. As I understand, this is the end of the base MHW campaign, so I’m holding off on diving into IB and just crafting different weapons to test them out while the monsters are still familiar.

So my question is: should i also be farming some materials in particular? Something that won’t become irrelevant the moment i step onto the lands of snow, or even will be useful throughout the game.

I’m about 30 hours into the game and HR 14. My girlfriend would like to play with me but I’m not sure how to go about it with content etc.

Would she be able to jump straight into investigations with me or would it be best for me to just play through her assigned missions until she’s up to my progression state?
