Should I solo Fatalis or not? /u/leftnodan Monster Hunter: World

I believe I’m fully prepped for Fatalis, and I have killed Alatreon solo already and It was a nightmare. I know that Fatty is a different beast but is it worth it solo?

Is there a resource for monsters’ elemental damages? /u/FastSmile5982 Monster Hunter: World

Everything I search up gives information on what players can do to the monsters, but I want to know if there’s a convenient source of the elemental damage that monsters can do to players.

I’m curious about

  • What elements each monster uses
  • What are the base chances for elemental blights (I know your defenses alter it, and at 20 elemental defense you cannot get the blight)
  • If the effects are a mix of physical and elemental, for example
    • if an attack is 80% physical and 20% elemental
    • if an attack is 100% physical damage but can inflict a blight

So, I’ve been using a lot of MHW weapons I wouldn’t usually use and now I’m on Lance I’ve restarted fully and I want to know what skills are great for Lance like the best early game mid game late game and Iceborne.

I don’t want this skill skill is better then this one because this… I just want the skill names

Hit a wall at Pink Rathian /u/fightinglion779 Monster Hunter: World

I’m playing through the base game and feel like I’ve really hit a wall at pink Rathian. I am not using defender gear and feel like I do 0 damage and die in 2-3 hits. Is this how the fight should go or am I under leveled/not prepared enough?

The build right now is a S&S girros knife 2, and a mix of high level barroth and low level Karachi ang legiana focusing on guard and evade extendor.

Any advice on how to change my build or prepare better for the fight?
