[OC] My Archfey Warlock /u/UnicornWitch133 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Say hello to Fiorella Thorne! She is an Archfey Warlock with a little bit of Druidic and Wizard flair. She loves herbs and nature, and one day while gathering plants for her herbal remedies, she discovered an injured fairy, named Glinda. She nursed her back to health, and as a thank you, Glunda gave her some of her magical power. Fiorella isn’t one for fighting, but she loves exploring. She would rather put all the enemies to sleep than fight them. Fiorella wants to discover every bit of nature she can. The only drawback is that she only has 80ish years to see it all. She has a cat as her familiar whose name is Loki, and he’s a lazy one, sleeping all day and lazing about on her potions’ shelf. Fiorella is lucky to go one day without him knocking over all the potions onto the floor. Good thing she has an Unseen Servant to help her pick up the mess!

Is it bad form to attack another player who antagonizes you and insists you are not teammates? /u/shadowsog95 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

I played a game with my brothers a while back and the scenario was we were all being human trafficked by a band of pirates and we fought through the ship and got to an island with a cave full of skeleton soldiers and I picked up a sword that started the encounter (I’d been a weaponless tabaxi barbarian up to that point) and one of my brothers kept being kind of an ass as a holding rouge just messing with everyone’s actions on purpose with the excuse of “we’re not a team yet and I don’t know you guys” but at the end of the encounter all the enemies and weapons besides my sword disintegrated and the first thing he did was “pickpocket” the sword that was in my hand that I was currently using then run down a dark pathway in the cave with no turns or exits. And my response was to chase after him and beat him up for the sword and everyone else thought I was taking it too far but 1. He shouldn’t be able to pickpocket a weapon I was actively using, 2. He shouldn’t be able to disappear into the darkness when I have night vision as a race ability. And 3. He’s being an antagonist to my character who would 100% kill a random theif they didn’t know for stealing from them according to their backstory. At this point we were all level 2~3 and he metagame joked about how his rouge could kill my barbarian easily.

I Printed My Girlfriend a Mech Dragon [OC] /u/Ender_Guardian DnD: Roll for Initiative!

I Printed My Girlfriend a Mech Dragon [OC] /u/Ender_Guardian DnD: Roll for Initiative!

So, my girlfriend finished GMing a D&D game for myself and some if my friends this year, and in it, my character got to pilot a mech dragon with some beautiful artwork that didn’t exist in 3D models.

So, I found a 3D model that she said was “100% accurate [to her imagination] except the head” which had a very special crown to it, and a decidedly non-mechanical look.

Here is a look at the reference art: https://imgur.com/a/ZND4CbN I’m not sure I agree that it’s 100% accurate, but she said it’s pretty much spot-on… minus the head, so who am I to argue?

This was the last thing I mentioned to her about it. That was back in July/August.

So, I went online and found another model, exclusively for its head (though the rest of the sculpt is great too) and then modeled the crest myself, and kitbashed it all together in Meshmixer.

Here are some pictures from that project: https://imgur.com/a/fz6rCR4

Here are a few renders of the whole piece: https://imgur.com/a/gHoNyzd

Well, I’ve finally printed the whole thing out – the base in PLA, and the dragon itself in resin… and it’s just beautiful

Here are some more shots of it: https://imgur.com/a/hxRTnPt

I can’t wait to give this to her on Christmas day. I can’t wait to see the look on her face when she receives it!

Now to figure out how to pack and wrap it…

If you want the links to the dragon minis, here they are:

How often do wizards get access to spellscroll or spellbooks to copy from in your games? /u/MusseMusselini DnD: Roll for Initiative!

In my experience as a player it’s been roughly once every two levels. So an estimate of roughly every 8 or so sessions.

Im curious since it’s arguably one of the best amd most interesting things about wizards and what sets them most apart from others. But it’s so dependant on how the gm feels.
