If I wanted to run a campaign where the players don’t know who they are at first, how do I do it? /u/TheBrawler101 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Basically the idea would be that the characters wake up and have amnesia for a good bit of the campaign. A lot of the time would be spent figuring out who they were. I think it’s a cool idea but not sure how to implement something like that without either spoiling who the PCs were to the players or getting players stuck with characters they don’t like. Any ideas on how I could go about something like this or is it just something that might not work with DND?

Are there any “natural” enemies to specific races? /u/Dnd_Addicted DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Are there any “natural” enemies to specific races? /u/Dnd_Addicted DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Hello everyone!

I’m gonna try and keep it as short as possible. I’m running a homebrew campaign and the different races are still divided (humans, elves, dwarves and halflings, very LOTR style).

I was wondering are there any “natural” enemies for each specific race? Like “dwarves have a grudge against dragons” or “elves and orcs”. The players are all into fantasy stuff but not so much into DnD lore so don’t worry if you have to go out of the box, I just want them to have fun in the second arc of the campaign.

I’m open to any and all suggestions, so even if you say “elves are against artificers” that’s good, I’ll just have them fight someone with a bunch of magic items and stuff like that, you know?

Not sure what level they will be by then, but they will definitely be at least level 5.

Thanks everyone!

Level 4 Monk Question /u/Spherno1 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Level 4 Monk Question /u/Spherno1 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Hey! Looking for some advice here on my character. In the campaign Im playing I have a Level 3 Kensei Monk coming very close to Level 4, this is a high powered world and as such has had some rules implemented to character creation to make everyone much more powerful.

As we come up on Lvl 4 I am not sure whether to take a feat or score improvement and wanted to get some Reddit opinions just to see what justifications others would use to make their decisions. My stats are as follows:

Tabaxi Monk – Way of the Kensei

Scores: 14 | 18 | 18 | 12 | 18 | 16; AC 20 (with Agile Parry); 32 Max HP

I own a basic quarterstaff that serves as my melee Kensei Weapon (no stores to buy a ranged yet) and I was allowed to pick a magic item a level one and so have a Cloak of Displacement.

What should my priority be come lvl 4? Thanks!

Party member drank the blood of a dragon working on becoming a dracolich, how screwed is he? /u/Calliope4 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

We’ve been investigating a cult spreading a plague amongst the population of a city. Everyone that dies of the plague, their soul goes to his phylactery.

Our Dragonborn party member was kidnapped by him and offered the ‘antidote’ to his plague, being his blood. He took it, so how screwed is he?

Edit: spelling.

DnD 2024 New Character Sheet /u/Terrible_Trifle3346 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Hello European fellas. You know there is a new character sheet for 2024 and I loved it. But there is an idiotic thing with this sheet that it has a dark background. And it has just released in a letter form. So I’ve deleted its dark BG and stretched to A4 size. And make it a fillable form. Voilà, Bon Apetit!

Fillable Form

Non-Fillable Form
