Mage hand question /u/askydn DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Mage hand question /u/askydn DnD: Roll for Initiative!

People say that the actual hand itself is the size of the pc’s hand, but can you choose whatever size you want it to be?

Say for instance the size of a nickle. Or the size of a castle, when I looked this up it just said how much mage hand can lift, not the actual size limits.

Either way have a good day 😃

Can My Fighter Have a Pet? /u/Drake__archer DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Can My Fighter Have a Pet? /u/Drake__archer DnD: Roll for Initiative!

So in my next campaign, I want to play a battle master-fighter with the pirate-sailor background and the lucky feat.

Because my character is basically going to be a pirate, I thought it’d be fitting for them to have some form of animal companion, like a parrot or monkey or something like that.

But I don’t want to have to take a level in ranger or wizard or something like that.

If this would be allowed, I’m almost thinking of making it so the character starts out with the animal, since it would be part of his backstory.

I just can’t figure out how I want the animal/pet to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Mushroom facts and ideas for a setting /u/Exieon DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Mushroom facts and ideas for a setting /u/Exieon DnD: Roll for Initiative!

I am contemplating making a campaign set in a world taken over by giant mushrooms (a basic faerun-ish world, standard races, probably standard gods, etc). The takeover started several decades prior to the campaign, unsure how far back specifically. I like the idea of some characters being alive before the mushroomification happened, and others not. I have multiple notable ideas already for the setting, a lot of them drawing from mushroom facts (yes i already have mindcontrolling/zombie funguses covered). Im looking for interesting facts or ideas i could use with funguses when it comes to the world’s ecology/worldbuilding. Even for potential encounters/plot hooks.

TLDR gimme neat mushroom facts or ideas for worldbuilding.
