Simplify Your D&D Travels with This Handy Travel Calculator /u/Preiselkirsch DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Hey fellow adventurers and DMs!

I wanted to share an amazing tool created by my friend, Datengeist, that makes planning and tracking travel in your D&D campaigns a breeze. The DnD Travel Calculator is completely free to use and has several awesome features:

  • Calculate travel times for various vehicles and terrains.
  • Track exhaustion by showing when players need to make Constitution checks, including the DC.
  • Switch between metric and imperial systems.

This tool is super easy to use and incredibly handy for anyone running or playing in a campaign. If you want to check it out, here’s the link: DnD Travel Calculator.

Give it a try and let me know what you think! 😊

[OC][Art] I drew my Half Elf Hexblade, Coriander Ciello /u/ApprehensiveAd3776 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Casting Eldritch Blast with Armor of Agathys intact..so I’ve played her in a one shot on a homebrew campaign, she got her power from a cursed wakizashi with a small fragment of an elder Gods called Margoloth or Margo for shorts…she’s on a quest to collect the rest of the fragments so she can unlock the full potential of her warlock power, that’s how it goes in the campaign at least..the state of the world is loosely based in Japan and some other south eastern Asian country..with a little bit of steam punk elements cus that’s where the eldritch elder gods element can come to play..the one shot is pretty fun, doing some investigations, heist and getting our ass handed to us by a paranoid wizard, all that classic DND shenanigans😁

Quick! You have to prepare a one-shot from scratch within 15 minutes! /u/JimmyBeCracked DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Quick! You have to prepare a one-shot from scratch within 15 minutes! /u/JimmyBeCracked DnD: Roll for Initiative!

A group of friends corner you and want you to DM for them in the next 15 minutes. What’s your process look like start to finish? Include some of these details:

  • a quick outline of the one shot w/ plot hooks
  • key encounters
  • BBEG if you have one
  • anything relevant to the conversation

Figured this could be a cool way to flex those creative muscles and get some community interaction 😄 I’m also really bored at work right now lol

Any tips on how to run a horror in DnD? /u/Exeryo DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Any tips on how to run a horror in DnD? /u/Exeryo DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Well, I know that DnD as a system is not really suited for horrors and will go more smoothly for the heroic adventures. And I also know about another cool RPG’s like Call of Ctulhu. But! It’s already like a hyperfix to me lmao

So basically, me and my friends know only one system: DnD 5e. We love it and having a great time! As a DM I just want to experiment with the genre, try smth new. When I firstly started to dig in new campaign, I felt kinda lost. How to put the atmosphere right? How to make a fight scary? How to fill players in such fragile vibe as the horror one? I see more ways to fo it online, but we mostly play irl. And everything else.

So yeah, would gladly accept like ANY advice on this, from the most general to extremely specific 😀
