An Underwater Adventure [OC] /u/Toad_Toucher DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Our adventures took us to the Great Sea, south of Luiren, where we discovered an abandoned, anchored ship not 50 miles from the coast. Here we decended into the depths to find the crew had been taken by merfolk. Being extra cautious due to the diving suits we had to wear, we sabotaged the merfolk, raided their temple and freed the prisoners. Next stop the Corsair Isles, then on to Zakhara!

[OC] Built this dicetower, used dried moss for the vines /u/TheMitchol DnD: Roll for Initiative!

I don’t even play that much (did 2 oneshots with friends) but I love to get inspiration from D&D when making things!

The tower itself is a cardboard structure coated with a 2mm layer of clay. The staircase is made out of cardboard pieces glued to a skewer. The rock structures were made using aluminium foil and also coated using a thin layer of clay. All painted using acrylic paints.

I used some dried moss I had laying around to recreate vines. Attached it to the structure using varnish.

I’m planning on adding some LED candle lights inside the tower to recreate torch lights coming from inside.

Any feedback is welcomed!!

First DnD session in 10 years /u/airborneguy84 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

I joined my friends who have a group that’s has been playing for almost 30 years. They only play 2nd. I haven’t played for 10 years but the last I played was custom version of 3.5 so they were baby walking me through character creation. We are all playing dwarves and they have had several sessions in this campaign. DM asked me what I wanted to play and I was adamant I wanted to make golems. He told me I’d have to probably go some form of artificer and the group warned me I’d need good stats. I have terrible luck with DnD dice (historically) so I was prepared to be dealing with an int of 12 but I rolled (using 4d6 drop the lowest) 18, 18, 17, 16, 18, 15. Probably used a years supply of luck. DM even let me roll a wizard. I then immediately rolled a 1 for HP. All in all, Great session and happy to be back after 10 years.
