New plussed weapons! Feedback appreciated! [OC] /u/Facade306739 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

I wanted to brew up a new woption for martial characters! (For those who want to say “just have it cast absorb elements”, yes, I understand that the effect is similar. I’d encourage you to look at the numerous and important differences such as:

  1. If it just let the player cast absorb elements, that makes it fully unusable to barbarians

  2. I’d rather incorporate the weapons damage type, because that adds neat uses when an ability let’s someone change their weapons damage type

  3. A bit of flavor won’t kill you!)

Ummmm should I be worried /u/Vanish9012 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

My dm asked my if I was using my very powerful magical weapon when we went into combat and I didn’t think much of it but it’s the strongest weapon I have it’s the strongest weapon in the whole party because of what I did to get it so I think it’s just a little bit odd that he asked me if I was using it in combat because why wouldn’t I use it

This is the map our DM drew up, a simulacrum of the town we live in reworked for our campaign. He really put his heart into creating this world and hours upon hours of campaigns for us. We’re level 20 after about four or five years of playing and finally getting back to it. I’m so thankful for this game and the community and inspiration it creates, and for people like my DM who use their imaginations to breathe life into worlds we can escape into to stretch the limits of our minds eyes, and learn a little about ourselves along the way. ☺️
