If you were a petitioner, which plane would you want to go to? /u/i-am-an-idiot-hrmm DnD: Roll for Initiative!

I wasn’t sure if I should label this as second edition or not bc planescape started in second edition, but it’s also the 5e cosmology so idk.

What got me thinking about this is that even though we all may consider ourselves a certain alignment, (and I’m curious to hear yours!), not all planes seem like they’d be pleasant even if you went to a certain alignment.

For example, Bytopia is prooooobably the best place for me considering my alignment, but I have no desire to be transformed into a gnome against my will, and don’t want to necessarily worship the Gnome gods.

Another way to think of it- which god would you worship and would you like to live in their realm?

I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Papacy of the Maul: Two Saints [OC] [Art] /u/maxdamageplus DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Any cleric of the Papacy of the Maul is required to use a hardwood maul or mace in order to draw from the divine. Their mauls are Spellcasting foci, in D&D terms. The holy men that wield these weapons are dedicated to only using these mauls, when they need to use a weapon. They are strong hardwood, and can break ribs, knock people to the ground, and shatter skulls. Some clerics will only use a symbolic maul, a smaller wooden club that is not nearly as lethal in melee combat, but is fully functional as a holy instrument.

Tips for playing a religious character? /u/Superluminal_01 DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Does anyone have any tips for roleplaying a religious character? I want to play a faithful (pun not intended) and not stereotypical character, but I don’t really have the frame of reference because i wasn’t raised with that in mind.

Thanks y’all, its very appreciated

Papacy of the Maul: Inquisitor Canaan [OC] [Art] /u/maxdamageplus DnD: Roll for Initiative!

Inquisitors are high ranking paladins in The Papacy of the Maul. Holy orders decree that they only draw blood with their hardwood mauls, which symbolize their strength and piety. They are ruthless and wrathful. Canaan is among the most murderous. He is willing to kill anyone and anything that stands in defiance of the faith. He is the direct instrument of Pope Leviticus. He is sent out when something must be utterly destroyed with no chance of repentance, and he is good at what he does.

I’m running an Eberron campaign and the Orien Post has been a more engaging way for me to write out recaps. The party has gotten a newspaper for each session, but the latest paper hasscribbling. scribblings from the bard who doesn’t remember what has been happening from his encounter with a False Hydra. My Karnnath is also inspired by the Magic the Gathering set of Kamigawa and I think the cyberpunk feel of the set fits nicely with the magepunk setting of Eberron. I have more lore that I dumped in the Eberron subreddit I can copy here.
