Tired of saving Azeroth alone. Anyone need a friend? /u/Zedds_Hoard World of Warcraft

​r/wow As the title indicates, I’m tired and fed up with adventuring alone, finding good friends in game is so disgustingly difficult. I’m on EU Server – Argent Dawn (RP) and I’ve been playing for about 4 months. I love the game and I wish I got involved earlier. Dragonflight is freaking awesome. What’s not awesome is how rushed and antisocial everyone is. I play a priest, and I love healing / support roles (If im not tanking. Tanking is my first love). Keeping my friends alive is top tier gaming for me. Predicting aggro, damage windows, debuffs… it’s a thrill. I have a running personal goal of never letting a party member die (if its within my ability to save them). Despite trying my best and trying to spark a discussion or complimenting others on how well they did, I rarely see a response. Not even a “wp”. “Try finding a guild.” Oh yeah, with the guild finder tool? Yeah I think we ALL know that is just a gimic UI function. It doesn’t work. I even tried asking players about their guilds or if they know any guilds that are looking for a Heal/DPS. Rarely a positive response… normally no response at all. Are people afraid to communicate? Or are they in a rush? Do they see this as “Solo Leveling” and pug everything? Is this the norm or should I just move to another server? How do you find friends or a community? It seems like the barrier to entry is just bizarrely high or no one cares. I daydream of making some friends and adventure through Azeroth together. Smack a few raid bosses, roleplay being a badass, dominate a battleground or simply just us sharing dumb collections we’ve completed in game… is that so farfetched? Rant over. ​r/wow a friend told me to post this on this sub. in case you were wondering, he is a monk. he has the ashen mawsworn halberd with the night fae covenant enchantment on it (not long after I posted him on twitter, a streamer apparently reposted him, but I made him in about 5 to 10 minutes so it’s not a big deal) submitted by /u/bread_weasel [link] [comments]
