Hello, throwaway account because I don’t want my boyfriend (25m) to see this. I (24f) lost my virginity about a month ago…but I’ve had sex about 3 times since then. Two times were not that deep and lasted maybe 5 seconds (he’s not incredibly experienced either). BUT last night we had SEX sex…and today I’m hurting…physically and emotionally. I’m having cramping…a bit itchy (concerned I have a latex allergy)…generally just sore down there. I’ve had issues with vaginismus in the past, and I’ve come a long way from being 20 years old and not being able to fit a finger in–to be able to have sex with my boyfriend about 3/4 of the way in. Does this seem…normal? I have so much shame and disappointment from not being able to fit him in all the way…I feel so physically and emotionally venerable from the cramping and pain and disappointment and I don’t know what to do. I would ask my friends…but they lost their virginities a decade ago and can’t remember the symptoms/other than “it hurt.” I thought I didn’t attach a ton of emotions to sex…but here I am…upset and in pain. Any advice?
