Is no to sex a rejection? /u/hellohello437 Sex

I’ve been situations with guys before (I’m a girl) where I’ve gone back to their flat after a date and they’ve tried to initiate sex.

When it’s early days I’m still deciding whether I like them or not and don’t want to have sex straight away unless I know I can trust them.

I always assumed guys would get this and understand i wasn’t saying no full-stop, but I just wasn’t ready and it would happen in the future.

However, from speaking to some friends, I was really surprised to hear that a lot of guys would take this as a rejection and would be put off from seeing me in the future because they’d think I wasn’t that interested in them. Is this generally the case?
