At a Super Bowl party this past weekend one of the dads in our neighborhood started talking to me about The Last of Us. I hadn’t watched it yet but had heard about it. He got all excited and told me that I really should check it out since I liked The Walking Dead.
While making his case about why I should watch it he told me very specifically that episode three was amazing. He talked about how great the acting was and how fantastic the story line was.
After the Super Bowl I binged episode one and some of two but couldn’t make it to three. Last night I finished two and then got into three. At first I was just enjoying the show until I realized what was up with Bill and Frank. I have no hang-ups about guy-guy stuff – but it was definitely not what I was expecting.
The fact that he made such a big deal about episode three and the focus on the middle-aged man-on-man relationship has me thinking that it was some crazy hint that he wants to do something together.
What do you think? Was he just being friendly and really enjoyed that episode or is he trying to tell me he wants to hook-up?? For context we’re both with women and that subject has never been broached before.
If you do think he was hinting at us doing something, how do I find out for sure? I was going to text him that I watched it and ask what he liked about it but I don’t really know how to approach it…
