Gun lance mains, question for ya. /u/Flaky-Product-3754 Monster Hunter: World

I was watching some vids. And I was curious. Do you guys swap between shelling types depending on the monsters? (Kinda like an Element user would? With dbs)

Like let’s say wide is easier on something like rajang, but normal is good on Kirin, but Long is good on fatalis.

Kinda like you wouldn’t bring a fire db, against a monster weak to water, as while it’s still damage (it’s not as effective)

Or a guess a better example. Like swapping out a great sword for a insect glaive when fighting monsters that are in the air a lot (as you feel you struggle more with GS against in air all monsters)

Or do you just pick 1 shelling type, and roll with it.

Just something I thought about and was curious.
