RDR2 has better fishing mechanics than a literal fishing game /u/Bandit_the_kat Red Dead Redemption

ive played rdr2 and COTW: The Angler for a while now and i can confidently say, RDR2 has better fishing mechanics than COTW.

Sure COTW has real life fishing techniques but RDR2 has you reel in by your right stick (im on xbox) and COTW has you reel in by a button.

Also fish are easier to catch and you can find them visually instead of going to a lake or river and praying you catch one, this is why I love RDR2 and Rockstar, they just pay attention to little details like that and they care about their games.

Oh and Arthur and John’s reaction to catching a fish are funny (example: “you sir, are a fish.”)
