Been with this girl for almost half a year. She said we were exclusive back in November but has yet to officially declare us as bf/gf. There are some small things here and there that I learn each time I meet her and not sure whether they are red flags or not.
This is my first relationship and I’m just not sure if I’m over analyzing things or actually focusing on the right things.
Are these “red flags” worth focusing on? Also how should I proceed in this relationship. I want to take the next step and approach this topic with her but not sure how. I don’t want to be taken for a unnecessary ride for a year and then get dumped.
Green Flags: – she said this is her first time pursuing something serious relationship wise – I’m the only person pinned on her IPhone messages – She facetimes me everyday -She talks about doing things with me months in advance – when we are together she gives me maximum attention and is very affectionate – She openly uses her phone and lets me see
Potential Red Flags: – previously said her preference was to date white guys before she met me (I’m South American) – Her friend told me that she’s been with “serval other guys” the last few years – Shows almost no PDA and when we go out with her friends doesn’t show me much attention or affection. – Introduces me as her “friend” to some of her friends – Has never been in a serious relationship
