People who litter, why? /u/OkMarket7141 No such thing as stupid questions

I was walking the dogs with my wife today down a country and we saw a full McDonald’s order (eaten) at the side of the road, clearly having been thrown out of a car window. I was trying to explain how I literally cannot process how that could be someone’s thought process. I couldn’t imagine just throwing / dropping a piece of my rubbish to the ground as it’s my responsibility. In addition there are bins everywhere – definitelt one at your home. Similarly with fly tipping, why would you just take your rubbish to the side of the road and leave it there? This is even stranger as you go out of your way to do, not to the landfill / recyling centre. To the people that do this, how… why…. what?!

Edit – Damn phone messed up the topic name but you get the idea
