How do You determine when You’re paying for high quality vs high quality and branding. For example 300$ dress shoes vs 800$ dress shoes. Many will say 300$ with almost snobbish attitude is “entry level” shoes or barely wearable. And only 800$ starts to be real deal. Even though both shoes are Goodyear welted and made out of high quality leather. But the 800$ shoe brand is using perhaps fancy wording like “we source our best leather from this 200 year old leather tannery from Italy or Portugal or whatever, etc”. To really kind of convince You that it’s worth paying 800$. Do You think there’s actually big difference in quality? Or You just overpaying for brand?
What’s Your opinion?
More catchy phrases: “workable cuff buttons”, which I hear is not even a good thing in reality because it makes shortening or lengthtening jacket sleeves harder. Lmao but they say that as in it’s higher quality now.
“Hand stiched lapel button hole”, does it really matter though? If Your jacket has handstitched or machine stitched button hole? Which nobody uses anyways.
