Rockhounding is a hobby of mine. So long as it is within legal limits, I like to sift through rocks on beaches and river banks. But in several subreddits, all of my comments are downvoted over this. I do not understand why moving rocks is so wrong. We humans have been doing this for centuries. It isn’t as if I am moving mountains and disrupting the natural wildlife.
In one subreddit, I commented about finding it therapeutic to stack rocks. I got many downvotes and was told to leave nature alone. What is so wrong with stacking rocks…?
