My bad experience with Luxire /u/DonnieBraskic /r/malefashionadvice

I wanted to share my experience with Luxire, as I have the impression that it is seen very positively in this sub regarding products and customer service. Unfortunately my experience has not been good.

In July, I ordered two linen pants for an event abroad from their european subsidiary www.Luxire.de. I was impressed by the three-day shipping, which was crucial since the event was just one week after my order. I ordered ready-to-wear pants and provided my sizes, which I believed would suit me. I did not opt for made-to-measure (MTM) since I didn’t provide any body measurements.

However, after a few days, I still hadn’t received the pants, and as a result, I had to attend the event without them. Two weeks later, when I returned home, one of the two pairs of pants finally arrived. Unfortunately, they didn’t suit me at all. According to their website, ready-to-wear products could be returned within 15 days of arrival(Widerrufsrecht – Luxire München), so I contacted the company, requesting to cancel the second pair of pants and asking for a return label for the pair that didn’t match.

From the outset, they ignored my cancellation request. Instead, they offered to exchange the second pair for a better-fitting size and asked for photos. They didn’t provide a return label for the first pair for another two months. After corresponding with five different Luxire employees, I reluctantly accepted their offer and asked them to send me the pants in smaller sizes, providing both length and width. Again, I didn’t specify any MTM details. After two months, I finally received a return label for the first pair of pants and sent them back to India.

To date, I still haven’t received a refund for the returned pants.

The second pair of pants arrived about three months after the event and, unsurprisingly, they didn’t suit me either. I attempted to cancel the order again, but was told that these pants had been altered for me, and that MTM products could no longer be returned. I never agreed to have the pants altered—especially since I hadn’t even received them in the first place, and I didn’t know whether I would even like the fabrics. I had assumed they would simply exchange the ready-to-wear pants I ordered for a different size.

Now, I’m left with a pair of pants that are not fitting, which I paid double for, and Luxire seems uninterested in taking responsibility.
