Im currently a new grad and I have 9 months between undergrad and masters (which starts in the fall).
Most positions I see online on Linkedin/Ziprecruiter/Indeed for new grads are regular employee positions. Ive tried giving my resume to contracting companies but they are requesting 10-20 years of experience to be considered by such contracting groups. I heard I shouldn’t go for regular employee positions since that will generally leave a bad taste in peoples mouths if I leave right before masters.. I also heard that hourly positions automatically mean contract positions but I am fairly skeptical of this since there are conflicting opinions on this.
Is there a way to get a SWE contract as a Entry Level/Associate SWE in the industry? Just to gain job experience in the limited time frame I do have.
