Business casual for NY private equity meeting – conflicting info? /u/oculai /r/malefashionadvice

Hello I would be grateful for some advice.

In February, I will be in New York City for a four day meeting put on by a large private equity group that we are integrating with. I am fairly senior.

In the invitation, they listed business casual as the proper attire when I asked a couple of the people that were there I got conflicting responses. Some said slacks, buttondowns + sweaters, and others said suit no ties.

would be grateful for any advice!
