Hey, I’m an international student about to graduate this sem and the job hunt is daunting af. I have had one internship experience two years ago and that is it. I also maintain a Golang open source project with over 500 stars, which is my main selling point. But as far as I can see no one hires golang devs straight out of college( or there isnt demand for one).
I’m mostly looking to get backend roles but I also love working on dev tools and libraries. I’m looking for java/c++ project ideas that would look good on my resume and possibly help get more interviews since Java and c++ stacks are pretty common in job descriptions. I do realize learning a language and making a project in it just to get a job is not the right way to do things but atp I’m desperate and getting a job is my priority.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks
