Build advice for a Dual Blades user stuck at Nergigante? /u/ssLoupyy Monster Hunter: World

So my friend says he is stuck at Nergigante and no one responds to SOS. I am not at home today so I can’t help him either. I think his build is probably lacking. Idk about his armor he probably has two pieces of Health Boost and maybe a piece or two from Rathalos. He is using Defender IV DB.

I told him to hunt Deviljho and craft her weapon because it has higher raw than Defender and also Dragon element with Elderseal and use Dragonproof Mantle. That was what I did when I first struggled at Nergigante and afterwards it’s just Elder Dragons so Deviljho weapons seem good.

However I have seen suggestions for thunder dual blades too. What do you recommend for a build?
