Hey there, misters! Just an appreciation post for the fishing in this game. To clarify I’m not a fisherman. I have no interest in fishing nor will I ever. I have been on about 5 boats in my life. In fact, I’m fairly uneasy with open waters. However, I’d like to praise the fishing in RDR2. Especially when using pov perspective. I’ve been suffering lately. I’d rather not go into details but the fishing in this game has been such a unexpected relief for me. It’s helped me calm down, take my mind off things and taken me out of such a poor mood – the sheer tranquility of it all just helped. You can find some beautiful spots to fish (which can look even more stunning depending on time of day!), ability to change bait and catch something else, the variety of fishes. Even the reward of catching a Legendary fish feels more intense than some Legendary animal hunts! This is my second playthrough since release but first on next gen and it’s just a stunning, stunning game. If anyone who worked on this game since inception sees please can I say thank you. I needed you at this moment. I didn’t know I did, I’d just started replaying the game. I’ll never be able to express how grateful I am that fishing in your game has impacted me in such a positive way. submitted by /u/nahitscoolmyguy |
