Need help understanding HBG Elemental Damage /u/Nyusen Monster Hunter: World

I am running the Soulfire Roar “Blaze” HBG for Poison/Fire damage for the Safi’jiiva raid. I chose it because it said in the meta guide that it is probably the best HBG build for Phase 1 and Phase 2. What I don’t understand is how the fire damage works. I understand you use poison ammo to apply poison, but what does the fire damage get applied to? Does it apply to spread and pierce or only normal damage.

EDIT: Nevermind I am dumb. It’s obviously Flaming Ammo, I didn’t see it because I have never crafted it before.
