WSL interoperability error using Bokeh /u/P1G4ME Python Education

Good morning everyone.

I don’t know if this is the right place for this question, but I can’t figure out a better place to ask for help. I’m starting an project for a college course on Information Visualization and I decided to try the Bokeh package as it seems to be the best for interactive data visualizations. However, trying to run a simple example on my native Linux (Pop_OS!) machine yields a weird error about WSL interoperability.

Here is the complete error message.

grep: /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc/WSLInterop: No such file or directory

WSL Interopability is disabled. Please enable it before using WSL.

grep: /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc/WSLInterop: No such file or directory

[error] WSL Interoperability is disabled. Please enable it before using WSL.

/usr/bin/wslview: line 216: /mnt/c/Windows/System32/reg.exe: No such file or directory

/usr/bin/wslview: line 308: [: -ge: unary operator expected

[error] This protocol is not supported before version 1903.

I’ll take any info on this, there isn’t enough in this error message for me to figure it out myself. This is a native Linux install so I don’t really see why it’s trying to do anything with WSL…
