Hey all! I have never owned any clothing item made in suede until recently. I got a brown suede Sherpa trucker jacket and I absolutely love it, especially if I wear it with jeans and boots. However, I did not realize that this jacket would be a pain to clean.
After I bought it, I realized there was a tag that said not to machine wash it, dry clean it, etc. When I looked up why, it said that suede will get stained and ruined if any liquids get spilled on it. The tag for the jacket does not mention how to clean it or wash it either.
The jacket is not stained and it’s in good condition, but I am the type of person where I do like to clean/wash my clothes every couple of wears. If I can’t machine wash or dry clean this coat, how do I wash it? Also, how do I clean it if I do happen to get a stain on it? I always take care of my clothes and I want to ensure that I do take care of this jacket and clean it the right way when I need to.
