Yes, OP. That’s how they seem to me watching from the side in coop. I know every weapon is good in the right hands but, my, B&HBG are impressive.
Currently I’m farming the rest of the Guiding Land materials I need—Tempered Stygian Zinogre and Tempered Savage Deviljho.
There are two other hunters with me—Dual Blades and a Greatsword. We managed to take down the Zinogre but it was a huge mess. They left after the hunt but I kept going.
Then join three HBG hunters and I didn’t see Zinogre’s dragon aura even once. It could barely stand up. Literally it was rolling on the ground during the whole hunt and I felt bored to spam all of my highest damage attacks like it was the Pillar in the Training Room. One of the hunters left and a Bow hunter joined. Next Zinogre, same story.
But then I decided to try them on the Savage Jho. Oh, my, god. I didn’t know the expired Pickle could be such a short fight. It melted. It almost didn’t exist and there were only materials on the ground.
I’ve seen this numerous times with Safi. Many times a Bow hunter made the fight easy and I don’t know why.
It always feels like these hunters are contributing to the fights multiplicatively, so to speak. Stuns, wounds, topples, flinches… Melee pile up and destroy.
Could it be the case that those had been really good hunters or are the weapons really so effective? Do you feel OP as you look in coop, hunters? Do these weapons provide mostly utility and little damage or damage also? (In the second case, they are OP to me.) Enlighten me please. I’ve almost 100% decided that my second weapon in Wilds will be one of B, HBG or LBG. For my enjoyment but also I really wish I could deliver such support to other hunters in coop.
