Basically the title. For me, I was laid off in January 2023 and feel like it still affects me, although I quickly found a new job after.
At the start of this new job I was overproductive, almost fanatically, stabilized later. In case of any minor manager’s pushback, I would quickly blame myself.
Lately I’m being transfered to another team, and for some reason feeling betrayed or abandoned, almost like laid off again although my manager always said only positive things about me, presented me to this new team with all my best qualities and achievements. But still I feel like I did something wrong even probably that’s not true at all. Did my previous experience of being laid off affected my self esteem and anxiety that much? Did something like this happen to you?
