Hey all, needing some advice/tips on how to deal with alatreon as a gs player. I’m running non at frostcraft with frostfang barioth chest and the velk gs. I know it’s probably better to get the frostfang gs as well, but the way my decos currently are i really appreciate the slots to fit blight resist 3/ health boost 3/ quick sheath 3/attack boost 4 all in one. i don’t actually have too bad of a time dealing with him, as i don’t cart very often to anything but escaton, and i can reliably get the horn break to prevent him swapping off of fire. however, i literally cannot get the suppress off. i’m trying to squeeze in as much damage as i possibly can, and all of my spare slots are dedicated to frost decos. i’m hitting weakpoints, although i havent been able to really feel comfortable going for wallslams yet. however by my understanding, this wouldn’t even help since i need elemental damage to rack up the suppress. do i just need to augment my sword with element up? i feel like the ease of which i get the horn break(s) should indicate i’m doing quite well, but i have yet to get the topple period, despite me hitting him as much as i really can. there is a phase that gives me problems not causing me to cart but i just cannot damage him, which is whenever he decides to start flying around. i can probably claw onto him to do a little more chip, but thats usually when he decides to do the divebomb. what am i doing wrong?
