I’m running a lv 1 one shot to teach some newer players the game. The party is 5 Lv 1 PC’s. The one shot is mainly a bunch of decision making, role play, and possible combat situations that can be avoided through other creative means. They end up discovering an old temple which they are to retrieve an old relic. The Final Room where the Relic is located in the center needs something to add to it. My original idea of a Gelatinous Cube that the item was in seems a lil overkill. I had mechanisms that would trigger traps for the Cube, but still feel it could be a complete TPK. Any ideas?
