Gaming on SSD: How to download both Windows and MacOS versions of the same game /u/PoopyButts02 Steam on Reddit

For games available on both Windows and Mac, should I download them separately for Windows and MacOS when downloading to SSD? What should I know before doing so?

I presume they are entirely different files, but I’ve read somewhere that one version will replace another if it is to the same location. Thought I’d ask to see about the specifics, and if there is anything to know before doing so – stuff like standard/good practices.

Thanks 🙂
