Is there any way to “reduce” a foot fetish? /u/cake_is_a_lie99 Sex

Anyway to “reduce” this fetish?

I’ve seen questions on different subreddits about “getting rid” of a foot fetish or any fetish about a hundred times, and the general takeaway is you can’t.

I’m not exactly ashamed of my fetish, I don’t think less of myself because of it and I’ve had no problems with women, as they usually accept it and I can get off without it, but I’m kinda over having this fetish, yk?

This is mainly bc of how foot fetishes are seen in modern society, and while the jokes and disgust don’t make me feel ashamed or anything, sometimes I’ll just be cranking my hog to a woman sticking her feet in the camera and halfway through I think “damn this shit must look weird” and sometimes that thought kinda ruins the mood.

Plus I don’t really wanna keep going through the same routine of having to bring it up with women I’m with. I’ve never really seen it as something to “confess” and all the times I have brought it up it was natural and worked in my favor, but given the social stigma it still is something I feel I have to address with a partner, and I’m kinda tired of it.

What I’m asking is, is there any way to reduce it to the point I can live without it? I’m not obsessed but I can’t imagine a sex life without feet as of right now and for the sake of convenience and feeling a bit more pride in my sexuality I’d like to get it down to just thinking feet are pretty and being fine with doing foot stuff if prompted.
