This may be confusing, but I’m trying my best. I received a very large Steam game as a present, and I set up a Steam Family with my brother to allow me to download the game onto his Steam Deck, which has more storage. I started the download, but then I realized I might have been able to log onto his Steam Deck using my account so I could receive achievements for my gameplay.
It’s too late to stop the download now, so here’s my question: if I log into my account on the Steam Deck once the download is done, will I be able to play it or will it be locked because it was not downloaded by my account?
