What’s really grinds your gears in DnD? (Rant) /u/Big_Norse_Honkey DnD: Roll for Initiative!

I’m curious to see if I’m the only one who’s noticing trends or if I’m slowly turning to an asshole.

I’ve been really off put with most of the people I’ve been playing with recently. Why can’t people make a “normal-ish” charecter anymore? I feel like most groups I try to play with always has a character that just pisses me off in a way I can’t explain.

Like. “Oh you want to play a character that looks like a Hazbin hotel demon?” Oh…you want to play a Home-brew race in a game that specifically is suppose to have a set few races?”

Like why can’t people play a half-elf mage who wants to travel to expand their knowledge anymore? Or a dwarf barbarian who just want to explore?

Why do I always fine a “look at me” charecter in all my games now who want to play a fucking Minotaur with a 13 page backstory or a Centaur in a Water ship heavy game?

Well that’s my personal ich. What’s some stuff that’s been pissing you off in the community of DnD lately?

Edit: I notice my grammar error in the title. Hush I can’t fix it
