Tabaxi Wizard casts Shocking Grasp! [Art] [OC] /u/zargata DnD: Roll for Initiative!

This is Phi, my level 11 Tabaxi wizard. I joined my first dnd game just over two years ago and have really enjoyed the experience.

I had originally joined at level 7, filling in for a player that had to drop out. So I didn’t exactly make it easy on myself learning to play the game and running a higher level wizard.

Abridged Backstory: Phi is the wayward apprentice of ancient elven wizard Daedalus. During the 10 years of her apprenticeship she noticed a strange decline in the health of her mentor. His memory was slipping, magic becoming erratic, and his trances lasting days at a time. Phi had already abandoned her people to study magic, and now her new home was slowly wasting away in front of her eyes. Phi departs in search of a cure to a disease? A curse? Death itself? Whatever the cause, she will discover a cure.

This was done in Prismacolor color pencils, inked with Copic liners. My main focus was the lighting affect of the magic. Had lots of fun blending.
