Loss of multiple orgasm ability /u/Crashspirational Sex

Female here. I used to be able to orgasm 4-5 times within about 10 minutes from oral sex or manual stimulation. I could also cum from PIV but never had multiple orgasms that way because I never had a partner who could both last the 10 minutes and was good enough at PIV sex (but now I do and that is part of reason for this post)

Over the past 15 years, I noticed that I would still be able to orgasm hard the first time but the next ones would be “halfsies” -not full blown orgasms. I could get to the edge but the contractions would be weak. This has been a gradual loss over time where I am now to the point where I am struggling to even have a SINGLE orgasm.

I have to FIGHT to have that single orgasm and it takes forever. Fortunately it is usually a violently strong cervical orgasm (not clitoral -my multiples were always clitoral). The single orgasm only occurs with manual stimulation (not oral, not PIV, even vibrators don’t work usually) It’s infuriating because I get soooooooo close right to the edge but just can’t get over. And I finally have a partner who is awesome in bed and has stamina and I can’t orgasm with him except manually which sucks.

I almost feel as though my clit is dying or something. I went on vaginal estrogen and a topical estrogen/DHEA cream for my vulva about 4 months ago but things haven’t improved very much.

Additional info – during the past 15 years I did take Luvox for a few years and then was on lexapro for a few years which are both antidepressants known to cause orgasm issues (and when I was on them I couldn’t cum at all). But there were many years where I wasn’t on them and still had this decline. I am very active and eat good so diet and exercise aren’t the issue. Also I am not in menopause.

My questions are the following:

  1. Has anyone experienced this?
  2. If so, did you do something to fix it? What did you do?
  3. Could back issues cause this? I have a painless set of bulging discs in my lumbar spine…maybe something wrong with my nerves
  4. Any suggestions or ideas please share. I’m afraid I am becoming inorgasmic

TLDR: I used to have ability to have multiple clitoral orgasms in a short period of time and over the course of 15 years can now barely have a single orgasm.
