Is this show a comfort show for anyone else? /u/TomTalksTropes South Park

So, recently I started spending a lot of time at my GFs place and her TV has almost every episode of SP on it. I hadn’t watched in years and we started binging it on the regular from newer episodes to the classics I used to love and I just kinda realized, SP has always put me at ease.

When I was a kid I went through a lotta shit and I used to seek solace in binging this on whatever site played it online. It always packaged the big scary world of adults into a box I could understand. Now I AM an adult (still going through different shit but hey, who isnt?) and it lets me view the world and its issues through a sense of silliness I haven’t felt since I was a kid.

Maybe its the shows consistent way of addressing and talking about things in a nuanced but silly way. Maybe its just blind nostalgia.

But I came to realize this is one of my favorite shows in big part due to this.

Anyone else find comfort in this show? How does it make you feel about stuff? Getting back into it makes me wanna talk about it with peeps.
